Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 can (395g) of sweetened condensed milk
- 5 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 can of milk (use the empty condensed milk can to measure)
- 3 eggs
Preparation:
Start by placing the sugar into a pudding or bundt mould. Heat over medium heat until the sugar melts and turns a golden caramel colour. Carefully add a splash of water and stir until smooth.
Once the caramel is ready, swirl the mould to coat the bottom and sides evenly. Set aside.
In a blender, combine the milk, condensed milk, and eggs. Blend for about 1 minute until smooth and fully mixed.
Slowly pour the mixture into the prepared mould. Place the mould in a larger baking dish filled with hot water (bain-marie), and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before unmoulding. Your creamy condensed milk flan is ready to serve!
