Cake Ingredients:

- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
Filling:
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 large packet of grated coconut
- ½ can of sweetened condensed milk
- Topping:
- ½ packet (about 100 g) of butter
- 3 tablespoons of chocolate drink powder
- ½ can of sweetened condensed milk
Preparation
Cake:
Start by beating the egg yolks with the sugar until pale and fluffy.
Then, add the milk, chocolate powder, and flour. Mix until smooth.
Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites and finally add the baking powder, stirring gently until fully incorporated.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking tin.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before slicing it in half.
Filling:
In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, coconut, and condensed milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Set aside to cool.
Topping:
Place all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it forms a shiny chocolate syrup.
Assembly:
Slice the cake in half horizontally.
Spread the coconut filling evenly on the bottom layer.
Place the top layer back on and pour the chocolate topping over the cake.
Let it set before serving.
